Support Me in the 2009 Minnesota AIDS Walk! Why am I Walking?
I am walking because HIV education and prevention is important to me. I want to encourage everyone to help however they can. The money I raise helps to support the Minnesota AIDS Project (MAP) in its mission to stop HIV in Minnesota.
Your help is more important than ever! HIV infection is on the rise and someone is infected every 9 1/2 minutes in the U.S., with one new diagnosis almost every day in Minnesota alone. Despite these new cases, funding for MAP is in jeopardy.
I want to personally thank each of you who is able to donate at whatever level you are comfortable! Please support me and the Minnesota AIDS Project as we work towards stopping HIV together.

About the Minnesota AIDS ProjectThe Minnesota AIDS Project's mission is to lead Minnesota's fight to stop HIV through advocacy, education and service. In partnership with over 1,000 volunteers, Minnesota AIDS Project provides compassionate, confidential and non-discriminatory services, including practical, emotional and social support. In 2007, MAP provided services to more than half of the nearly 6,000 Minnesotans living with HIV. MAP also reaches thousands of people with prevention messages through community and outreach efforts.
