Our team is walking because the Women and Families Network values high quality HIV education and prevention programs which are vital to the continued empowerment of Minnesota communities. It is important to support this cause because each an every person living with HIV should be able to experience the freedom to participate in their community without stigma or other social barriers. We want to encourage others to stand up, get educated and denounce the stiffling stigma surroing HIV disease. The money we raise goes directly to serving Minnesotans affected by HIV by raising awareneess and understanding around issues of HIV transmission, prevention and support. Please support The Women and Families Network and the Minnesota AIDS Project as we work towards stopping HIV in Minnesota.

About the Minnesota AIDS Project
The Minnesota AIDS Project's mission is to lead Minnesota's fight to stop HIV through advocacy, education and service.
In partnership with over 1,000 volunteers, the Minnesota AIDS Project provides compassionate, confidential and non-discriminatory services, including practical, emotional and social support. In 2009, the Minnesota AIDS Project provided services to approximately half of the over 6,600 Minnesotans known to be living with HIV. The organization also reaches thousands of people with prevention messages through community and outreach efforts.
