Communications Internship

Description: Interns contribute to writing and editing articles for external publications; write press releases, media advisories, fact sheets, and calendar advisories; follow up written media materials to secure placement in print and broadcast media outlets; support online communications efforts including social networking outreach; develop and maintain MAP's media contact list; participate in special event planning and implementation; and perform other duties as assigned. Candidates must have completed at least two years of college with a demonstrable emphasis in communications, public relations, journalism or English coursework. Candidates should possess strong writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Opportunities are available on an ongoing basis, but this internship requires a minimum 12-week commitment. Scheduling is flexible but must complete a minimum of 15 hours per week.
